Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and for your interest in our schools.
It is my privilege to be the new Superintendent of the Putnam Public Schools and I am eager to learn more about our community. I plan to continue to gather as much feedback and information as possible over the next couple of months. In particular, I would like to know:
• the strengths of the Putnam schools (and particular schools)
• areas in need of improvement
• the overall school and district culture
• programs / courses you would like us to consider adding
It is my goal to synthesize my findings and develop one presentation that I will share with the faculty and staff at each school, and with parents at each school later this year. With that information, we will develop clear, common goals to continue to move the Putnam Schools forward.
I met with a number of people over the last few weeks but I recognize the summer can be busy. If you were unable to attend one of the open forums in August you are welcome to share suggestions via email or to schedule a time to meet with me either as an individual or a small group.
In addition, if you have questions or need assistance that you were unable to address via the website, please contact your child’s building administration or my office directly.
Best wishes for a great school year.
Daniel P. Sullivan, III
Superintendent of Schools
