Report Cards - Grade 3

Beginning in 2015, the faculty at Putnam Elementary School began redesigning its report cards to communicate student growth to families and to help guide student improvement. We began the process of identifying key standards in mathematics and literacy/ELA and determining how we would measure progress. Since then, teachers have worked diligently to make sure that parents have accurate and meaningful information about what and how students are learning in class. To assist in this, rubrics were developed to help families understand the report card indicators which move beyond traditional letter grades. Below, we have included links to the Mathematics and English/Language Arts rubrics. You child’s teacher will refer to these during conferences, and will be able to address any questions you may have about your child’s progress. We hope that these are useful tools to help communicate the expectations at each grade level.
