CONGRATULATIONS to 8th grader Melodie Anderson. Melodie recently participated in the Connecticut Invention Convention State Competition. Her entry, The Forget Me, has advanced to the Invention Convention U.S. Nationals! This is the second year in a row that Melodie has progressed to Nationals!
Melodie explains that the Forget Me Not is a robotic time capsule that can help people who suffer from Alzheimer’s Disease by using advanced robotics and face recognition technology. The idea was inspired by her great grandfather who died of Alzheimer’s Disease. It is her hope that in the future this kind of technology will help families going through the traumatic effects of Alzheimer’s Disease.
We are #PutnamProud of Melodie and her ingenuity. Thank you to Ms. Kwasny and Ms. Donnel who are the advisors for Robotics and Invention Convention. Good luck at Nationals, Melodie!
