Is it true that Seniors do not have to take mid-term / final exams?

Seniors may only be exempt from taking a mid-term or final exam at the discretion of the teacher and if the student’s average grade of both quarters is 90 or above. Therefore, in some cases a senior may not have to take a mid-term and/or final exam but they must have a grade of 90 or higher (for each class - not overall) and they must speak to their teacher for permission to not have to take the exam.
