FAQs

How do I know if school is closed due to inclement weather?

School closings will be announced on local news stations. You can also sign up for text and / or email alerts at WFSB.

Is it true that Seniors do not have to take mid-term / final exams?

Seniors may only be exempt from taking a mid-term or final exam at the discretion of the teacher and if the student’s average grade of both quarters is 90 or above. Therefore, in some cases a senior may not have to take a mid-term and/or final exam but they must have a grade of 90 or higher (for each class - not overall) and they must speak to their teacher for permission to not have to take the exam.

Is there a way to check my grades throughout the semester?

Yes, you can check grades by accessing Edline. Contact the school counseling office for information on how to log-in to the site.

Do I need to call the school if my child will be absent?

Yes, if your student is going to be absent please call PHS at (860) 963-6905; press #1, and give a brief explanation as to the reason for the absence. Thank you for your assistance.
