Distance Learning 2020

Distance Learning Details

The information below outlines the structure of our Distance Learning program and expectations to assist your child in learning from home.

Distance Learning IntroTeacher AccessDistance Learning Info

Teachers will electronically post their lessons and assignment information by 8:30 am each day. The information should be accessible to parents K-8, students and parents grades 6-8 and only students in grades 9-12. Beginning Wednesday, March 25, 2020, all postings will be on ParentSquare.

Lessons and activities should be meaningful and designed to replicate learning that would typically take place in the class / course to the extent possible. As a general rule, please plan on 25 minutes per subject/class each day (high school 30-40 minutes). Any due dates for submitting work should be clearly indicated. Papers, projects, etc. may be assigned separately as appropriate.

Teachers will generally be available to students electronically between 8:30 am-1:30 pm. This does not mean that the teacher is online continuously. However, email and other means of electronic communication with students and parents should be checked regularly during those times. Please note that some teachers may elect to schedule a “meeting with their class” at a predetermined day and time via Zoom or another platform. If a teacher is sick and or unable to be online, that should be indicated to students when sharing the lesson.
