Principal

 Mr. Joseph J. Ptaszynski

Mr. Ptaszynski joined the Putnam High School community in October of 2002 as a Business/Technology teacher.  Prior to working in Putnam he was a Business/Technology teacher at Bacon Academy in Colchester. 

Mr. Ptaszynski holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University, an MBA from the University of Hartford and a graduate degree in school administration from the University of Connecticut. He is presently a member of the CIAC Sportsmanship Committee, and the Safe School Climate Coordinator for Putnam Public Schools.

Assistant Principal

 Mrs. Jacqueline Vetrovec

Mrs. Vetrovec joined the Putnam High School community in October of 2012 as the Assistant Principal of Putnam High School.  Prior to working in Putnam she was a mathematics teacher and department head at Chariho Regional High School in Wood River Junction, RI.

 Mrs. Vetrovec holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, an MBA from RPI in Rensselaer, NY and a sixth year graduate degree in school administration from Sacred Heart University. She is presently a member of the RI Math Teachers Association and serves as a volunteer for the Special Olympics in the CT Southeast Region.
